The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather bulletin predicting rainfall across Odisha until 28 July. The forecast also indicates that the Bahuda Yatra will encounter showers during its route.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a weather bulletin on Thursday, stating that Odisha will experience continuous rainfall until 28 July. The bulletin highlighted that most districts, especially in the coastal and western parts, are likely to receive moderate to heavy showers.

In addition to the general forecast, the IMD noted that the Bahuda Yatra, a popular pilgrimage route, is expected to witness showers along its path. Pilgrims and organizers are advised to carry rain gear and plan for possible delays.

Local authorities have urged residents to stay updated with the latest advisories and to take precautions against waterlogging and landslides. The forecast comes after a period of heavy monsoon rains that have already caused disruptions in several districts.

Weather experts suggest that the persistent rainfall could help replenish groundwater levels but also increase the risk of flooding in low-lying areas. Residents are encouraged to keep emergency kits ready and to avoid traveling on roads prone to water accumulation.
