IIT Patna clinches top two spots at NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27 in Patna

IIT Patna secured both first and second places at the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27 held in Patna, outperforming more than 300 participating teams.
Patna hosted the NTPC Electron Quiz 2026-27, a nationwide inter‑college competition that attracted over three hundred teams from across the country. The event, organized by NTPC, tested participants on electronics, engineering fundamentals and problem‑solving skills.
Representing IIT Patna, the duo Heet J. Joshi and Shivanshu S. Das emerged as the overall champions, securing the first‑place trophy. A second IIT Patna team also performed strongly, finishing in the runner‑up position, giving the institute a clean sweep of the top two slots.
Organizers presented the winning team with the championship trophy and the cash prize announced for the contest, while other finalists received certificates of merit. The strong showing underscores IIT Patna’s continued dominance in technical quizzing at the national level.
The competition concluded with a closing ceremony attended by NTPC officials, faculty members and student participants, highlighting the importance of fostering technical expertise among young engineers.
