The Himachal government has approved a major infrastructure upgrade for the National Law University in Shimla, aiming to expand facilities and improve legal education.
State officials announced a comprehensive infrastructure development plan for the National Law University (NLU) in Shimla, marking a significant step to strengthen legal education in the region. The initiative includes the construction of additional lecture halls, a modern library, upgraded hostels, and state‑of‑the‑art digital labs to support research and learning.
The upgrade is expected to increase the university's capacity to admit more students and to provide a more conducive environment for academic and extracurricular activities. Enhanced facilities will also enable NLU Shimla to host national seminars, moot courts and collaborative projects with other law schools.
