Himachal Pradesh CM Announces Student Exchange Initiative with US University

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh announced that the state government is preparing to start a student exchange programme with a university in the United States. The initiative is intended to provide opportunities for Himachali students to study abroad and for American students to experience education in the hill state.
The programme aims to foster academic collaboration, cultural understanding and research partnerships between the two institutions. Officials said it will focus on fields where both sides have complementary strengths, such as environmental studies, tourism management and technology.
Details on the partner university, the number of participants and the timeline are being finalised. The CM indicated that the agreement will be formalised in the coming months, pending approvals from both governments.
