Heavy Rains Persist in Pune, Ghats Declared Red Alert

Roads in the city have become slick and many bridges are closed, leading to traffic snarls and a rise in accident reports.

Local authorities have deployed water pumps and emergency teams to clear debris and restore power where outages have occurred.
