The Bada Danda locality, known for its narrow lanes and commercial activity, was hit hardest, with streets turning into temporary channels. Local residents reported difficulty in moving vehicles and walking, and several shops had to close temporarily. The Puri Municipal Corporation has deployed pumps and urged residents to stay indoors until the water recedes. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have advised commuters to use alternate routes.
