Madhya Pradesh has logged 31.1 inches of rain so far, about 6% below normal, with eastern districts receiving more precipitation while western parts lag behind.

The state meteorological department has warned that the Rewa‑Shahdol corridor will face heavy rainfall over the next four days, prompting residents to stay prepared.

To date, Madhya Pradesh has accumulated 31.1 inches of rain, roughly 6% below the seasonal average. While twelve districts have already recorded rainfall above normal levels, thirty‑one districts are still lagging behind the expected totals.

The distribution of rain is markedly uneven. The eastern belt of the state has seen comparatively better precipitation, whereas western Madhya Pradesh continues to experience a shortfall, keeping water‑dependent activities under strain.

Local authorities in Rewa have mobilised emergency response teams, monitoring river levels and low‑lying areas to mitigate any potential flooding or water‑logging incidents.
