The Haryana government announced that all pregnancies in the state will be monitored through the SAMRIDDHI digital portal, as stated by Minister Saini.
New Delhi – In a move aimed at strengthening maternal health surveillance, Haryana’s health ministry disclosed that every pregnancy registered in the state will be entered into the SAMRIDDHI portal, a cloud‑based platform designed to track antenatal care.
Minister Saini explained that the portal will capture key data points such as gestational age, scheduled check‑ups, and high‑risk indicators, allowing health officials to intervene promptly when complications arise.
The system is linked to existing government health schemes, enabling automatic eligibility checks for benefits like free ultrasound scans and nutrition supplements. Officials anticipate that real‑time monitoring will reduce maternal and infant mortality rates across the state.
Implementation is slated to begin next month, with training sessions for frontline health workers and a public awareness campaign to encourage pregnant women to register online or through local health centres.
