The Haryana government has announced a ₹4,000 crore investment to upgrade police infrastructure, technology and training by 2030, as stated by the Director General of Police.
The state government of Haryana has unveiled a comprehensive plan to modernise its police force with an investment of ₹4,000 crore, to be completed by 2030. The Director General of Police highlighted that the funding will cover upgrades to infrastructure, procurement of advanced technology, and enhanced training programmes.
Key components of the scheme include the introduction of new patrol vehicles equipped with GPS and real‑time monitoring, the establishment of cybercrime and forensic laboratories, and the development of a state‑wide digital policing platform. Training academies will be expanded to incorporate modern policing techniques and community engagement modules.
Officials expect the initiative to improve response times, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen public safety across Haryana. The budget will be allocated in phases, with the first tranche earmarked for infrastructure upgrades and technology procurement, followed by training and capacity‑building efforts.
