Private hospitals in Haryana announced they will stop providing Ayushman Bharat services from September 1, citing outstanding payments.
Private hospitals across Haryana have issued a notice that they will discontinue Ayushman Bharat services effective September 1. The decision comes after the hospitals reported that the government has not cleared pending dues owed under the scheme.
Hospital administrators say the unpaid amounts have strained their finances, making it untenable to continue offering the cashless treatment benefits to patients. They have urged the state health department to settle the arrears promptly to avoid disruption of services.
If the dues remain unsettled, patients who rely on Ayushman Bharat for free or subsidised care may have to seek treatment at other facilities or bear out‑of‑pocket expenses. The hospitals have not indicated any alternative arrangements for affected beneficiaries.
The health ministry has not yet responded to requests for comment on the pending payments or the impending service suspension.
