The Haryana Department of Technical Education has entered into a memorandum of understanding with IIT Ropar to enhance curriculum and research collaboration.
New Delhi, Sept 14 — The Haryana Department of Technical Education (DTE) formalised a partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to modernise technical curricula, facilitate joint research projects, and provide faculty exchange opportunities for colleges under the DTE umbrella.
Under the MoU, IIT Ropar will assist Haryana's polytechnic and engineering institutions in redesigning course content to align with emerging industry standards. The collaboration also envisions setting up innovation labs, organising workshops, and offering mentorship to students pursuing applied research.
Both parties highlighted that the partnership is part of a broader effort by the state government to raise the quality of technical education and improve graduate employability. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the DTE and representatives of IIT Ropar, who expressed optimism about the long‑term benefits for students across Haryana.
