The Haryana government has cleared road development schemes worth Rs 9,700 crore, including new bypasses for five cities.
The state cabinet of Haryana gave the green light to a suite of road projects valued at Rs 9,700 crore, aiming to enhance regional connectivity and ease traffic congestion.
The package includes the construction of bypass roads around five major cities, designed to divert heavy vehicular flow away from city centres, cut travel times and stimulate local commerce.
Funding will come from the state’s budget complemented by central government assistance, with the Public Works Department tasked with execution. Work on the projects is expected to commence in the upcoming fiscal year, aligning with Haryana’s broader push to attract investment and support its industrial corridors.
