The Gurugram court has remanded hit‑and‑run suspect Kalyan Bainsla to 14 days of judicial custody pending further investigation.

The Sessions Court in Gurugram ordered that Kalyan Bainsla, the accused in a recent hit‑and‑run case, be placed in judicial custody for fourteen days. The decision was taken after the prosecution presented evidence linking Bainsla to the vehicle involved in the incident.

Bainsla, identified by police as the driver of the car that fled the scene, has been charged under sections of the Indian Penal Code relating to causing death by negligence and evading legal process. The court’s custody order ensures that he remains in police lock‑up while the investigation continues.

Legal experts note that the fourteen‑day custodial period is standard for serious offenses, allowing investigators to gather forensic reports, eyewitness statements, and any CCTV footage. Bainsla will appear before the court again at the end of this period for further hearing.
