Gujarat Railway employee granted bail as court rules matrimonial dispute not suicide abetment

The Bombay High Court granted bail to a Gujarat Railways employee who had been arrested on charges of abetting suicide. The bench examined the prosecution's claim that the accused had facilitated the death of a family member, but found no evidence linking the alleged act to a matrimonial quarrel.

Judges emphasized that a dispute between spouses, however acrimonious, does not automatically constitute a criminal conspiracy to induce suicide. Consequently, the court dismissed the suicide‑abetment charge and ordered the employee's release on bail, pending further trial on unrelated allegations.
