Google India to Provide CSAM Case Details to Government Cybercrime Division

Google India said it will share information on investigations involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) with the nation's cybercrime division, a move aimed at strengthening the fight against online exploitation. The decision was reported by Business Standard, citing statements from the company's Indian operations team. Under the arrangement, relevant case data, including digital evidence and investigative findings, will be transmitted to the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell for further action. Officials said the collaboration is intended to streamline the reporting process and ensure timely legal response to offenders. Google reiterated its commitment to child safety and compliance with Indian law, while emphasizing that the data will be shared in accordance with privacy and security protocols.
