The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission will announce the timetable for the upcoming Panchayat elections on November 13, according to INDToday.
The State Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh has confirmed that the schedule for the next Panchayat elections will be released on 13 November. This follows the completion of delimitation and the finalisation of electoral rolls for the state's rural local bodies.
The elections will cover more than 12,000 gram panchayats, 1,200 mandal parishads and 70 Zilla Parishad territorial constituencies, involving millions of voters. The timetable will specify dates for filing nominations, the campaigning window and the actual polling days.
The commission has urged political parties and candidates to observe the model code of conduct once the schedule is out and to ensure a peaceful polling process. Security arrangements and voter‑awareness drives are also being put in place ahead of the polls.
The announcement is seen as part of the state government's effort to strengthen grassroots democracy and accelerate delivery of development schemes through elected local bodies.
