Global Village at Amity University Mohali showcases cultures of ten nations

Amity University’s Mohali campus opened its doors to a Global Village event, inviting participants from ten different nations to share their cultural traditions. The exhibition featured a range of displays, including traditional attire, handicrafts, and culinary samples, allowing visitors to experience a micro‑cosm of global diversity on a single campus.

Representatives from each country set up booths and performed short cultural programmes, ranging from folk dances to music recitals. Attendees, comprising students, faculty and local residents, moved between the stalls, engaging with the delegates and learning about customs that are often unfamiliar in India.

University officials highlighted the initiative as part of Amity’s broader commitment to international collaboration and intercultural education. By bringing together multiple cultures under one roof, the Global Village aimed to foster mutual respect and broaden the worldview of the campus community.
