Four trapped in 90‑ft deep well in Kukas, Jaipur rescued by civil defence crane

Two rescuers became trapped while trying to save a man and woman who fell into a 90‑foot dry well in Kukas, Jaipur; the civil defence team later lifted all four out with a crane.
A 90‑foot deep dry well in the Kukas area of Jaipur became the scene of a dramatic rescue on Wednesday when a man and a woman slipped and fell into the shaft. Bystanders quickly called emergency services as the couple struggled to climb out of the narrow opening.
Two young men rushed to the site to assist the victims, but while attempting to pull them up they themselves lost footing and became stuck in the well, leaving four people trapped underground.
The Jaipur civil defence department responded within minutes, deploying a mobile crane to the location. Using the crane’s hook, rescuers carefully lifted each person one by one, ensuring no further injuries occurred.
All four individuals were brought safely to the surface and received medical evaluation. Officials reminded the public to avoid abandoned wells and to report such hazards to authorities promptly.
