Rajasthan police have issued a notice to ex‑MLA Prahlad Gunjal, summoning him on Nov 10 for allegedly threatening Lok Sabha chairman’s OSD Rajiv Dutta.

The Rajasthan police have formally served a notice to former Kota legislator Prahlad Gunjal, directing him to appear at the local police station on 10 November. The notice is linked to a complaint that Gunjal threatened Rajiv Dutta, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Lok Sabha chairman.

According to the police report, the alleged threat was made in the days preceding the notice, prompting an investigation by the Kota district crime unit. Rajiv Dutta, who assists the Lok Sabha chairperson in administrative matters, filed the complaint after receiving what he described as an intimidating communication from the former MLA.

The Congress party, to which Gunjal belongs, has not issued a detailed comment but has indicated that it will cooperate with the investigation. Gunjal’s legal counsel, when approached, said the former MLA would appear before the authorities and contest any unfounded allegations.

Police officials stated that the case will be examined under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code dealing with criminal intimidation, and that further action will depend on the outcome of the hearing on 10 November.
