Former IAS Officer Shailendra Singh Appointed Head of Madhya Pradesh RERA

According to a circular issued by the Urban Development and Housing Department of Madhya Pradesh, former Indian Administrative Service officer Shailendra Singh, who previously held the post of Additional Chief Secretary, has been appointed as the chairman of the state's Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).<br/>Shailendra Singh retired from the IAS after a career that spanned several senior administrative roles, including overseeing key departments in the state government.<br/>The move is aimed at bolstering RERA's capacity to regulate real‑estate projects, ensure compliance with the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act and protect the interests of homebuyers across the state.<br/>The department indicated that Singh’s administrative experience will help streamline approvals and improve transparency in the real‑estate sector.
