Former CM Ashok Gahlot Blames Rajasthan BJP Govt for Inflation, Scheme Halt

Former chief minister Ashok Gahlot addressed a gathering in Jaipur, accusing the ruling BJP government of failing to curb inflation and neglecting law‑and‑order issues. He highlighted that everyday commodities have become increasingly expensive, putting pressure on ordinary households.
Gahlot further alleged that the current administration has halted several welfare schemes launched by the previous Congress government. According to him, the suspension of these programmes has exacerbated hardships for vulnerable sections of society.
He urged the state government to revive the discontinued schemes and take decisive steps to control price rises, emphasizing that the government's primary responsibility is to safeguard the public’s economic well‑being.
The remarks come ahead of the upcoming local elections, where the opposition is expected to intensify criticism of the BJP’s performance in Rajasthan.
