A former deputy chief minister of Chhattisgarh took part in a Delhi protest, condemning the detention of the CJP founder and highlighting Congress support.

Delhi saw a sizable demonstration on Saturday as a former deputy chief minister of Chhattisgarh joined the rally, urging authorities to release the founder of the CJP who is currently detained. The former Dy CM addressed the gathered crowd, describing the detention as a threat to democratic freedoms and calling for immediate judicial review.
The protestors, many of them Congress supporters, held placards demanding transparency in the case and an end to what they termed political victimisation. Speakers highlighted the lack of formal charges against the CJP founder and urged the central government to intervene.
Congress leaders present echoed the sentiment, stating that the detention undermines the rule of law and could set a dangerous precedent. They appealed to the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Home Affairs for swift action.
Security forces monitored the rally but reported no incidents of violence. The authorities have not released further details on the legal proceedings surrounding the founder’s detention.
