Farmers from Jagara, led by leaders from the Indian Farmers Union (Ekta), staged a protest outside the office of the Sub-Collector (SSP) of Ludhiana on Tuesday, demanding action on their grievances.
On Tuesday, farmers from Jagara gathered outside the Sub-Collector’s office in Ludhiana to protest against unresolved issues affecting their community. The protest was organized by the Indian Farmers Union (Ekta) and was led by prominent local leaders Dakuanda and Burj Gil.
The demonstrators, numbering in the hundreds, carried placards demanding timely resolution of their grievances and urging the authorities to take immediate action. They also called for better support for agricultural infrastructure and fair pricing for their produce.
The SSP’s office was temporarily closed to accommodate the protest, and local police were deployed to maintain order. While the authorities have not yet issued a formal response, the farmers have requested a meeting with the SSP to discuss their concerns.
