A dispute over a debt‑recovery house in Tussa village, Ludhiana, escalated into a standoff between a farmer union and authorities, ending with the seal broken and the property handed back to owner Pyara Singh.

A conflict erupted in the village of Tussa, located in Ludhiana district of Punjab, after authorities attempted to enforce debt recovery against a local resident. The dispute centred on a house that had been sealed as part of the collection process.

The situation quickly intensified as a farmer jattha‑bandi (union) confronted the administration, leading to a direct face‑to‑face encounter with court officials. Both sides locked horns over the legality of the seizure and the rights of the debtor.

Eventually, the seal on the property was broken and the house was handed back to its owner, Pyara Singh, marking a temporary resolution to the standoff, though tensions between the farmer union and the authorities remain high.
