ECI Postpones CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Uttar Pradesh Outreach Events Over Logistical Issues

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that it will postpone two outreach events planned by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar in Uttar Pradesh. The decision comes as logistical challenges have been cited amid a growing row of dissent over the CEC’s conduct. The events, originally scheduled for the coming days, were intended to engage voters and address electoral concerns in key districts of the state. In a statement, the ECI said that ensuring smooth execution of the events could not be guaranteed under the current circumstances. The commission has not yet released a new date for the postponed programmes, and officials are reportedly working to resolve the logistical issues before rescheduling.
