Dudhwa Workshop Trains 97 Personnel to Spot Illicit Wildlife Products

A specialised workshop was held at Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh to bolster efforts against wildlife trafficking. The session saw 97 forest and enforcement personnel from the region receive both theoretical and practical training. Experts from the Wildlife Trade Initiative (WTI) and the Wildlife Conservation and CITES Bureau (WCCB) led the program, covering current trafficking trends, identification of wildlife derivatives, and post‑seizure procedures. The training is part of a broader strategy to enhance inter‑agency coordination and curb illegal wildlife trade along border and forest corridors.
