DMK rejects Pattinapakkam project, calls for Omandurar Hospital to resume as Secretariat

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has publicly opposed the Pattinapakkam development plan and reiterated its demand that the Omandurar Hospital premises be restored as the state secretariat.

Party officials said the scheme does not align with the interests of the local population and therefore cannot be pursued in its current form.
In the same communication, the DMK demanded that the Omandurar Hospital building, which previously housed the Tamil Nadu secretariat, be reinstated as the official secretariat headquarters.
The party has urged the state government to reconsider both the Pattinapakkam development and the relocation of the secretariat, emphasizing the need for decisions that reflect public sentiment.
