Distribution of Educational Materials to Students of Government Polytechnic, College Devadurga

Devadurga, September 29, 2026:
Educational materials were distributed to students belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities studying at Government Polytechnic, Devadurga-184 on September 29, 2026.
The materials, sanctioned by the government during 2014–15 for SC and ST students and remaining with the department, were distributed to the students. The materials included mini drafter, geometry box, textbooks, scientific calculator and multimeter, among others.
The programme was held under the leadership of D. Rajakumar, Assistant Director, Department of Social Welfare, Devadurga. Speaking on the occasion, he advised the students to attend classes regularly and make proper use of the educational facilities provided by the government.
He said that parents work hard to send their children to educational institutions and urged the students to fulfil their parents' dreams by becoming responsible and successful citizens. He also encouraged students to develop regular reading habits and strive to achieve higher positions in life.
The institution has a total of 43 students from different departments, including 20 students from Civil Engineering, 12 from Mechanical Engineering, 9 from Computer Science and 2 from E&C.
The officials also informed the students that admission to the hostel would be provided to eligible students who have applied for it and urged them to make use of the available facilities.
S.G. Prakash, Principal of the institution, addressed the gathering and thanked the department officials for providing the educational materials.
Nijanand Reddy, Head of the Mechanical Department, delivered the welcome address. Mahadevappa Patil, office staff, and officials from the Social Welfare Department were present.
Faculty members from all departments, guest staff, office staff, Group-D employees, students and girl students participated in the programme. Shivanna, office staff, conducted the programme and delivered the vote of thanks.
