The Malayalam film 'Disco', featuring Antony Varghese and Arjun Ashokan, earned ₹70 lakh worldwide on its opening day.
The Malayalam feature 'Disco' premiered across multiplexes in India on its opening day, drawing audiences to theatres in cities such as Chennai, Kochi, and Bangalore. The film, directed by a debutant filmmaker, showcases the performances of Antony Varghese and Arjun Ashokan in lead roles.
Box office reports indicate that 'Disco' collected approximately ₹70 lakh worldwide on day one, a figure that reflects a moderate start for a regional release. The earnings were spread across domestic screens, with the majority coming from the Kerala circuit and a growing share from other states.
Industry observers note that while the opening collection is modest, the film’s performance will be closely monitored in the coming weeks as it competes with other releases in the Malayalam film calendar. The producers are optimistic that word‑of‑mouth promotion could boost the film’s run in the second week.
