Dholpur received more than two inches of rain today, and the India Meteorological Department forecasts additional rainfall across Rajasthan as the monsoon weakens.
The city of Dholpur in Rajasthan recorded over two inches of rainfall today, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The downpour contributed to a rise in water levels in local streams and prompted minor traffic disruptions in low‑lying areas.
IMD officials warned that the monsoon trough is losing intensity, but moisture-laden systems are expected to linger over the state for the next 24 to 36 hours. As a result, several districts, including Bharatpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur, are likely to experience intermittent showers and localized thunderstorms.
Authorities have advised residents to stay vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, and clear drainage channels to prevent waterlogging. Agricultural zones are being monitored closely, as the rain could provide temporary relief to crops that have faced dry spells earlier this season.
