Dhanteras Shopping Frenzy Paralyzes Delhi Traffic

Delhi experienced severe traffic congestion on Dhanteras, the day preceding Diwali, as shoppers flocked to popular marketplaces. Connaught Place and Chandni Chowk witnessed a surge in footfall, with shoppers eager to purchase gold, electronics, and other auspicious items. The Ring Road was particularly affected, with vehicles crawling through lengthy traffic jams and incessant honking echoing through the streets. The heavy traffic was a direct result of the festive shopping spree, as Dhanteras is considered a significant day for buying new items and celebrating prosperity.
