Devotees Celebrate Lord Krishna’s Birth in Odisha

In Odisha, devotees marked Krishna Janmashtami with prayers, bhajans and traditional rituals, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna.
Krishna Janmashtami, the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, was observed by devotees across Odisha on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada.
In temples and homes, worshippers offered flowers, incense and sweets while chanting hymns that recount Krishna’s divine deeds.
The celebrations also featured devotional singing, storytelling of Krishna’s childhood episodes, and the preparation of traditional sweets such as malpua and jalebi.
