Delhi Expected to Stay Mostly Dry as Monsoon Retreats

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather bulletin indicating that Delhi will stay largely dry as the southwest monsoon starts to retreat. While the monsoon has been active across much of India for the past few months, the withdrawal is expected to bring a noticeable drop in rainfall over the national capital. The bulletin notes that sporadic showers may still occur in the city, but overall precipitation levels are likely to remain low. Meteorologists advise residents to remain prepared for occasional rain, especially in the northern parts of Delhi where the monsoon influence is still present. The forecast also highlights that the monsoon will continue to affect other regions of the country, with heavier rains expected in the western and southern states.
