Rajasthan’s Dausa police busted a drug and murder network, confiscating narcotics worth Rs 6 lakh and 8 kg of copper, and arresting five suspects, including two involved in smack trafficking.
Dausa district police launched a coordinated raid early this week, targeting a suspected drug‑trafficking and murder syndicate. Officers recovered narcotic material identified as smack valued at approximately Rs 6 lakh, along with about 8 kg of copper that investigators said was linked to the criminal operation.
The operation resulted in the detention of five individuals. Two of those arrested are alleged to have been directly involved in the procurement and distribution of the smack, while the remaining three face charges related to a separate murder case that police say was connected to the same network.
Senior police officials confirmed that the seized copper was intended for illegal resale, and the drug haul is expected to be forwarded to the state’s forensic laboratory for verification. The arrests are part of a broader effort by Rajasthan law‑enforcement agencies to curb narcotics trafficking and violent crime in the region.
Authorities have not disclosed the identities of the suspects, pending further investigation, and no injuries were reported during the raid.
