On Wednesday, voter participation in Dausa district's six panchayat samitis reached 67.38%, with Mandawar recording the highest turnout at 68.61%.
The third phase of Rajasthan's panchayat elections was held on Wednesday across six panchayat samitis in Dausa district. According to the Election Commission, an overall voter turnout of 67.38% was recorded, reflecting a steady engagement in the rural democratic process.
Among the six samitis, Mandawar emerged as the most active polling area, with 68.61% of registered voters casting their ballots by 6 p.m. The high participation was attributed to intensive voter awareness drives and the presence of polling stations in accessible locations.
Bandikui registered the lowest turnout at 66.08%, a marginal dip compared to the district average. Election officials noted that weather conditions and local travel constraints may have contributed to the slight variation.
The results are expected to shape the composition of local governing bodies that oversee development projects, water management, and rural infrastructure in the district. The Election Commission has pledged to announce the final list of elected representatives after the completion of vote counting later this week.
Stakeholders, including political parties and community leaders, have called for a peaceful transition and cooperation among the newly elected members to address pressing issues such as agriculture support and road connectivity in Dausa.
