Cyclone Arnab has brought heavy rain, thunderstorms and winds of 40‑50 km/h to several districts of Bihar, with intermittent showers reported in Patna.
The tropical cyclone named Arnab has moved into the north‑eastern part of the Indian subcontinent, prompting weather alerts for multiple districts in Bihar. Authorities have warned of rain, lightning and wind speeds ranging between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour.
In the state capital, Patna, residents are experiencing intermittent showers throughout the day. The rain has been accompanied by frequent thunderclaps, though no severe flooding has been reported so far.
Meteorological officials continue to monitor the system as it tracks eastward, advising the public to stay alert, secure loose objects and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of strong gusts.
The situation remains fluid, and updates will be issued as the cyclone progresses and its effects evolve across the region.
