Congress stages candle march in Dehradun demanding action

Congress workers gathered in Dehradun’s central area and lit candles as part of a coordinated march. The demonstration was organised by the Indian National Congress to draw public attention to issues the party wishes to raise.

Participants walked along the main thoroughfares, holding candles and displaying party symbols. The march was conducted in a peaceful manner, with no reports of disturbances or clashes.

Local authorities monitored the event, ensuring that traffic and public order were maintained. The candle march underscores the party’s effort to mobilise supporters ahead of upcoming political activities in the state.

The gathering reflects Congress’s continued presence in Uttarakhand’s capital and its intent to engage citizens through symbolic public actions.
