The Indore Development Authority (IDA) has approved the Congress party’s request to host a Rahul Gandhi‑led event at the city’s Regional Park. The party will occupy a 50,000‑square‑foot area for a period of three days.
In exchange for the use of the land, Congress was required to pay a deposit of ₹10,08,000 along with applicable GST. The payment was made prior to the allocation of the space.
The decision comes as part of the party’s preparations for a series of rallies in the state. The event is expected to draw a large crowd, with security arrangements already being discussed by local authorities.
Officials from the IDA emphasized that the lease terms were in line with standard municipal procedures and that the party had complied with all regulatory requirements.
