A.P. Congress Central Working Committee member Rudra Raju has expressed confidence that the party is poised to secure victories in the upcoming local body polls across the state.
The Andhra Pradesh local body elections, scheduled to be held in the coming weeks, are expected to be a critical test for the ruling Congress party.
Rudra Raju, a senior member of the Congress Central Working Committee, told reporters that the party has a strong mandate and is well positioned to win a majority of the municipal and panchayat seats.
He highlighted the party’s grassroots outreach and the campaign’s focus on development issues such as water supply, sanitation and employment generation.
The Congress’s optimism comes as opposition parties, notably the YSRCP, are preparing to contest the elections with a fresh slate of candidates. The outcome could influence the political balance in the state’s local governance structures.
