Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated optical‑fiber and lithium‑battery facilities in Peethampur, announcing a total investment plan of over ₹1,140 crore to develop the town as a green‑energy and digital hub.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presided over the inauguration of two new units in Peethampur, Madhya Pradesh – an optical‑fiber network installation and a lithium‑battery manufacturing plant. The projects, backed by an initial investment of ₹850 crore, are part of a broader strategy to position the town as a centre for green energy and digital connectivity.
The state government highlighted that the optical‑fiber infrastructure will enhance high‑speed internet access across the region, supporting both residential users and businesses. Simultaneously, the lithium‑battery unit aims to cater to the growing demand for renewable‑energy storage solutions, aligning with national clean‑energy goals.
Industry group Repat Group has proposed a cumulative investment exceeding ₹1,140 crore in Peethampur, covering the two inaugurated facilities and additional related projects. Officials said the influx of capital is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and stimulate ancillary economic activity in the district.
The CM reiterated the government's commitment to fostering sustainable development and digital inclusion, urging private partners to continue investing in the state's emerging green‑technology corridor.
