New Delhi — Chief Minister Sonowal presided over the inauguration ceremony of the Sagarmala Finance Corporation's new office on Wednesday. Officials said the location will serve as a central hub for coordinating funding across the country.
During the ceremony, Sonowal emphasized the strategic importance of maritime connectivity for India's trade growth and urged private players to explore opportunities facilitated by the corporation. The inauguration marks the first physical presence of the corporation in the capital, aiming to accelerate project pipelines under the broader Sagarmala initiative.
The office is expected to begin operations immediately, offering loan products, advisory services and partnership facilitation to stakeholders involved in coastal development and port modernization.
