The Chhattisgarh government has formally requested the central government to install 2,305 new mobile towers across the state under the Digital Bharat Network (DBN) initiative to improve connectivity.

The Chhattisgarh government has submitted a formal request to the Ministry of Communications for the installation of 2,305 new mobile towers across the state under the Digital Bharat Network (DBN) scheme. The proposal aims to enhance digital connectivity in rural and underserved areas, bridging the current infrastructure gap.

The DBN initiative, launched by the central government, focuses on expanding broadband and mobile coverage through the deployment of new towers and upgrading existing ones. Chhattisgarh’s request aligns with the national goal of achieving 100% digital coverage by 2025.

State officials highlighted that the additional towers would support e‑governance, tele‑medicine, and online education services, thereby boosting local economic development. The central government is expected to review the proposal and allocate necessary funds in the upcoming budget cycle.
