The Chhattisgarh government reports that over 3.4 million residents were examined during its Bastar healthcare outreach program aimed at reaching remote villages.

The state’s health department announced that more than 34 lakh people were screened in the Bastar region as part of a large‑scale outreach initiative targeting remote villages.
The program, which ran for several weeks, deployed mobile health teams equipped with diagnostic tools to assess common ailments and provide basic treatment.
Officials say the screenings covered a wide range of health checks, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and eye examinations, aiming to identify early signs of disease.
The government plans to follow up with treatment camps and preventive education to ensure long‑term health benefits for the underserved communities.
