Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C‑DAC) and Geological Survey of India (GSI) have signed an umbrella Memorandum of Understanding to enhance geoscience research, mineral exploration and disaster management using next‑generation technologies.
C‑DAC and GSI have entered into an umbrella Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening geoscience, mineral exploration and disaster management through the use of next‑generation technologies.
The agreement will provide a framework for joint research, development and deployment of advanced computing and data‑analysis tools to support geological surveys, resource assessment and disaster mitigation.
By collaborating under this MoU, the two agencies intend to share expertise, data and infrastructure, thereby accelerating the development of technologies that can improve mapping, monitoring and response capabilities across India.
The partnership is expected to enhance India’s ability to manage natural resources more efficiently and to strengthen national resilience against geological hazards, contributing to both economic growth and public safety.
