According to the party’s statement, the 33 unopposed boards represent a significant share of the total seats contested in the rural and urban local bodies across the state. No other party or independent candidate filed nominations against BJP candidates in these constituencies.
The election commission has confirmed that the formal board formation will take place on September 21 and 22. During these two days, elected representatives will be sworn in and the administrative machinery of the respective boards will be activated.
