Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said people with no agenda have no place in Uttar Pradesh after Owaisi's comment at an Aaj Tak Panchayat event.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath publicly criticised senior Congress leader Asaduddin Owaisi after the latter remarked that "the next Abdul will win" during an Aaj Tak Panchayat programme. Yogi said that individuals who lack a constructive agenda have no place in Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing the need for responsible political discourse.
The comment by Owaisi, made in the context of a discussion on electoral prospects, was described by Yogi as divisive and irrelevant to the state's development agenda. He urged political leaders to focus on issues that benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh rather than indulging in sensational statements.
Yogi's response was delivered at a press briefing in Lucknow, where he reiterated his government's commitment to inclusive growth and warned against rhetoric that could polarise communities. No further remarks were made by Owaisi at the time.
