Concerns have been raised regarding structural integrity of the Chandwara bridge in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, with concrete reportedly falling off its pillars before its official opening. The Divisional Commissioner has directed an inspection.

Questions are surfacing about the quality of construction of the much-discussed Chandwara bridge in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, even before its scheduled inauguration. Reports indicate that concrete is shedding from its pillars, raising serious concerns about its structural soundness.

In response to these alarming observations, the Divisional Commissioner has instructed the District Magistrate and Deputy Development Commissioner to conduct a site inspection. This directive aims to ascertain the extent of the damage and the reasons behind the premature degradation of the bridge's structure.

Further investigation into the matter has been commissioned, with IIT Patna set to examine the bridge. This step is expected to provide a scientific assessment of the bridge's condition and ensure public safety before it is opened to traffic.
