Bihar: Son Thwarts Burglary, Injured by Attacker; Thieves Flee with Rs 11 Lakh

A significant theft occurred late at night at the residence of a doctor in the Bakhtiyarpur police station area of Saharsa, Bihar. Preliminary reports indicate that approximately Rs 11 lakh was stolen from the premises.
During the incident, the doctor's son, who had recently returned from a wedding, attempted to apprehend one of the burglars. In the ensuing struggle, the assailant reportedly struck the son with the butt of a firearm, causing injuries.
The thieves managed to escape the scene, leaving behind their weapon and ammunition. Investigations into the matter are underway.
