Bihar Cop Suspended for Sword Display During Muharram Procession

A Sub-Inspector in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has been suspended and issued a show-cause notice after a video of him performing sword stunts in uniform during a Muharram procession went viral.

In Muzaffarpur, Bihar, police action has been taken against Sub-Inspector Md. Mustaqim Khan of Kanti police station. Khan was seen displaying sword-fighting skills in uniform during a Muharram procession.

The incident came to light after a video of the Sub-Inspector performing the stunts went viral on social media. Following the circulation of the video, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) ordered immediate action.

As a consequence, Md. Mustaqim Khan has been placed 'line close', a disciplinary measure, and has been issued a show-cause notice by the department, seeking an explanation for his conduct.
