Bhopal Police Arrest Drug Smuggler Who Sold MD at Tenfold Markup from Vadodara

Bhopal police have detained Sandeep Singh, who bought methamphetamine in Vadodara for about Rs 2,000 per gram and sold it in the city for up to Rs 10,000.
Bhopal police arrested a drug trafficker identified as Sandeep Singh after a probe revealed he was procuring methamphetamine (MD) from Vadodara at roughly Rs 2,000 per gram.
Investigators found that Singh was reselling the same substance in Bhopal for as much as Rs 10,000 per gram, primarily supplying night‑clubs and other upscale neighbourhoods, thereby earning a tenfold profit margin.
The bust resulted from coordinated action between the Bhopal city police and the Madhya Pradesh Narcotics Control Unit, and the suspect was taken into custody at the central jail. No additional arrests were reported at the time.
Authorities said they will continue to map the supply chain and monitor similar networks that may be operating in other urban centres.
